Located about forty miles west of Charlotte in the foothills of North Carolina, House District 111 encompasses the majority of Cleveland County.  District 111 is home to thriving commerce, historic attractions, and good, hard-working people.  Since Representative Moore was first elected in 2002, the District has undergone a dramatic economic rebirth.  Formally an area dependent on textiles for commerce, the District now boasts factories and data centers for several national and international corporations.  Additionally, small business has grown tremendously in the last decade, with new, locally-owned shops and restaurants popping up in downtowns throughout the district.

District 111 is the home of the annual American Legion World Series, which brings baseball teams and fans from across the United States to Shelby each year, pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars into the local economy.  Other annual attractions such as the Cleveland County Fair and Livermush Festival bring thousands to Cleveland County from throughout Western North Carolina.  Additionally, historic locations such as the Kings Mountain National Military Park, the site of the important Battle of Kings Mountain during the American Revolutionary War.
